Hi,

we use your capture component in our application. Now we would like to be able to disable the links like 'Capture' if a user is not allowed to use the function.
Is it possible for you to implement it?

Thanks!

Yes, that's not a lot to do.

What should the result of disabling be? I believe the only difference to the normal behavior, is that all links "on the right" should be inactive, but still visible. Or should they be invisible?

We prefer the 'Invisible' alternative!

Thanks, Agnes

OK - then we'll do it this way. Will be available with next update.

Hi,

is this feature already available with the version of 22/10/1008?

...yes. Should be, at least.

20.10.2008:
Feature - The IMAGECAPTURE component now provides a ENABLED attribute. When set to fals then no image commands are available for the user.

Just a question, or did you test + did not get the desired result?

...as long as you are not complaining about dark colours, everthing is fine!

Hi Björn, hi Agnes,

we had that already:
see forum entry "Commands in Capture Control" of June 2008.
The addCommand() function has an additional parameter "isEditable".

...yes and no: the enabling=false on IMAGECAPTURE level completely removes all commands. It's the "main switch".

And there are individual command-enabled-flags, the ones you mention.

Hi Björn,

ok, you are right, but in my case (as I adopted the problem from Agnes)
the command level function is sufficient.
As for my case you don't have to do anything about it.

And that's good news, isn't it?
