Hello everybody,

I have a little focus problem with the overlay panes:

When the overlayed page does not request focus itself, the focus of the underlying pane shines through.

Hi,

yes, I see...

Before doing any work here: are you sure that you want to use the overlay pane in this way? The overlay pane is just one pane over the other, both fully functional, this means you will always be able to reach the below-pane e.g. via tab-key.

Is there any specific reason for not using a modeless popup with closeonclickoutside?

Hi Björn,

we use it mainly because of optical reasons... it looks better than a popup.
I did not know it behaves differently than a popup.
But it's not up to me to decide that, I will discuss it with the others.

But dosn't it look strange like that anyhow???

Ok, we will see later, first comes the discussion part.

Best regards

Hi, I am back....

We prefer the overlay pane for the following reasons:

- It adapts to the current workpage size, and is integrated into it.
- It displays with a transparent background, so the user can see the original page is still there (the pane displays during process execution). And it looks so much better!!!

But actually we like it to behave like a popup. Is there any possibility to 'pimp' a modeless popup to look like it?

Best regards

Hi Björn,

I rebuilt our concept, now a grey overlay is rendered and a modlessPopup with a kind of wizard is opened.

There are two problems:
- I cannot give a relative size to the popup, so it fits 80% of the background workpage for example. Would that be possible?
- We must close the popup before opening the next page. Is it possible to change the page inside the popup without reopening it?

Regards
Antje
