Good morning Markus

Thanks in advance. If you need additional information, please ask.

With best regards
PATRICK

Servus Markus

I have no intension. I already got my stuff that I expected from the invoker method. In practice my method looks like this and works fine...

Code:
   /**
    * Show hidden form again
    *
    * @param event
    */
   public void onInvokeEnd(ActionEvent event)
   {
     if (getWorkpageContainer().getCurrentWorkpage() != null)
     {
       m_shownAfterHiddenWorkpageId = getWorkpageContainer()
       .getCurrentWorkpage().getId();
       if (m_fieldEditedOrValueChanged)
       {
         getWorkpageContainer().switchToWorkpage(
         getWorkpageContainer().getWorkpageForId(getPageName()));
       }
     }
   }

Also all my defined WorkpageDefaultLifecycleListeners are working fine. What I would like to say is: If a BEANMETHODINVOKER is defined in a JSP and when I close my WORKPAGE then I get errors.

But maybe you are right, if there exists a way to avoid using any BEANMETHODINVOKER would be great.

Prehistory:

I have a WorkpageDefaultLifecycleListener with an overridden reactOnHiddenInContentArea() method defined.

Scenario:

1. One WORKPLACE with many WORKPAGES is open (see picture again).
2. The user switches to a different WORKPAGE than the already active one (lets name this PREV-WORKPAGE).
3. Desired WORKPAGE got visible and reactOnHiddenInContentArea() was kicked off.
4. reactOnHiddenInContentArea() should tell the user that he first must complete things in PREV-WORKPAGE before switching to another WORKPAGE.
4.1. reactOnHiddenInContentArea() should switch back to PREV-WORKPAGE.

To achieve step 4.1 I had to use the BEANMETHODINVOKER which runs onInvokeEnd() after reactOnHiddenInContentArea(). Trying to do the step 4.1 direct in reactOnHiddenInContentArea() will not work.

Hopefully you can help

Thanks and with best regards
PATRICK
Hello Bjoern

I am using the BEANMETHODINVOKER in a WORKPAGE inside a WORKPLACE. When I close (see picture) the WORKPAGE then I am receiving errors.

Do I misunderstand something?

Thank you for your help in advance
PATRICK

Hey!!!

>>> The swiss guys will be more than HAPPY!!! <<<

Thank you very much in advance!!!
Servus Björn

Nice to hear from you again too (haha). Hope things are going well for you?

(1.) Yes , by default <TAB> (or tabonenter=true) follows the sequence
(2.) Yes, today I am able to exclude unwanted components

And yes, that is not what I am (we) are looking for. The goal to reach is the following: A practiced user will also work with the keyboard and he will be able to work nearly "blind" with his application. To improve his productivity it makes sense to have influence to the order of focussed components.

Referring to: http://www.captaincasademo.com/forum/post/list/1017.page you are talking about "hard coded" values by using the "Request Focus Manager". Could that be a way to get the order controlled? If yes, how this will work?

In my opinion an introduction of an "tab-to attribute" would make sense anyway.

Regards; PATRICK
Dear Community

I am struggeling with the focus management. I have already consulted the Developers' Guide and I also went thru the "Request focus" demo.

Question: How can I have influence to the order of the next focusable components by using the TAB key for "jumping around" on my workpage?

Lets see attached picture to see an example of a desired order.

With best regards from Switzerland
PATRICK
... ok, thanks for your fast response.

Dear community

Actually you have the possibility that you can have different background colours for even and odd rows in <t:fixgrid> ...

1st row: Background red (even)
2nd row: Background white (odd)
3rd row: Background red (even)
4th row: Background white (odd)
.
.

I would like to ask you if there is a way to have it coloured like that ...

1st row: Background red
2nd row: Background red
3rd row: Background red
4th row: Background white
5th row: Background white

Reason: I am looking for a way to group some rows together.
I also know that there is the possibility to put a <t:pane>/<t:row>,<t:row>,<t:row> into a row. But that's not so easy to handle if you have to don’t know yet how many <t:row> you will have inside the pane at the end.

It's not a feature request I am only asking.

Best regards; PATRICK
... hmm, what do you think, does it make sense to have also a note about the ".getTopOwner()" in CC's Developers' Guide?

http://www.captaincasa.com/pdf/eclnt_DevelopersGuide.pdf [found: 2010-12-08]

Regards; PATRICK
Hey great, thanks

It works, the only one I had to add was the .getTopOwner()

Dear community

We have created more or less a nice Workplace as well known in "CaptainCasa Demo Workplace" with functions on the left part that opens Workpages the right part.

Now I have the situation that the user can also open new Workpages out of an already opened Workpages.

Regarding the situation: Workpage(=Child) was called from an existing Workpage(=Parent) I got a problem when the parent Workpage gets destroyed by the user.

I my case the child Workpage is no longer working. If we think logical (from Information technology side) this must be the natural way. I know there is a lifecycle listener who informs me, when a Workpage dies. But I want to keep the children alive because there is no longer a communication to the parent Workpage necessary.

Does anyone have a solution how to deal with that?

Thanks & with best regards
PATRICK

The CaptainCasa Demo Workplace shows that scenario too (see pictures 1), 2), 3)).
... thanks for your fast response and the hint you sent for us [ see picture, less than 100kb ]

With best regards from Switzerland

Dear Community

At the moment I am evaluating possibilities to show PDF documents. The possibility to use the PDFRENDERER component gives me the message back "PDFRENDERER cannot be loaded - PDFRenderer.jar required on client side". This happens only when I try to open my work in a browser using *.ccapplet. This happens also on CaptainCasa Demo Workplace (see attached picture). Using the "Start Client - Demo Workplace" is working well.
Where I have to include the "PDFRenderer.jar" that this will be ok for all *.ccapplet's?

Thanks for your help in advance
