Hello Björn,

I have cunning plan to install a version of Captain Casa with Java 8 and a version with Jakarta. Is it possible to have to different version of Captain Casa at the same time?

Thank you and kind regards.

Hi Klas,

this is not possible with the same code base... ;-(

The packages changed from javax.* to jakarta.* and this means you need to decide for one, because you reference the packages from your code.

We have internally exactly the same problem: we need to provide one CaptaintCasa version for javax.* and one for jakarta.*. Our internal way: we have one build script which does corresponding find&replace opoerations - and then compile in the corresponding library environment...

But...: we as infrastructure component need to do this. You, as application should select for one platform and then go for it!

Kind regards! Björn

I was afraid it would not work. Thanks for the quick answer.

Kind regards.
Klas
