Hello,

I found a special behaviour in EC Swing version 20210208: in a grid the page up/down - key pushes a roundtrip, but there is no scrolling. Navigation to the top/bottom element of the grid works, but further key up/down do not begin scrolling.

Is there a trick? Here You will find a test case. https://www.dropbox.com/s/71t598y8uzb32l5/gridTest.zip?dl=0

Hi Joachim,
thanks for message + project... We will take a look. - Please keep in mind: the Swing client is in strict maintenance mode and only "show-stoppers" are treated.
Kind regards! Björn

Hi,

we took a look inside - it is part of the focus management (which is quite complex in Swing...). We do not want to update the current focus management, it is too "risky". From our perspective the issue is no show stopper, so we will not try to do changes to the current focus management...

Kind regards, Björn

Hi Björn,

You even cannot scroll with cursor keys, which I found a little later.
In some previous version the scrolling worked - I am sure.
Is there a chance to guess the date (version) when the scroll - functionality was broken?

Hi Joachim,

the issue is fixed.

Actually it was an extension of the grid in the RISC environment to enable different row heights - here the scroll event was extneded by a third parameter which the Swing client did not deliver. So the server-side was running into an array index out of bounds exception...

The change was done 2020-11-11! (carneval update...???)

The fix is part of next Monday's update.

Kind regards + THanks! Björn
