You now may download the first version to experience things on your own:

After installation you may start the demo workplace locally by opening: http://localhost:50000/demos/workplace.workplaceMetroFX.risc?ccstyle=defaultrisc

When creating new projects then the new client will automatically be included within the project. Same, if you update your project.

If updating your own project you need to include a new servlet (definition + mapping) into your web.xml. Please copy the "RISCStarter" definitions from the web.xml_template (same directory) into your own web.xml.

For viewing a page in the browser open it in the same way as you are used to with ".ccapplet" and ".ccwbestart", but now use extension ".risc" and append some style information ".risc?ccstyle=defaultrisc".

Example: if your project/webapp is "test" and your page is "harry.jsp" in the root of the web content directory, then start: "http://xyz/test/harry.risc?ccstyle=defaultrisc".
Example: if the page resides in some subdirectory of your project. e.g. "pages", then the URL is "http://xyz/test/pages.harry.risc?ccstyle=defaultrisc". So slashes "/" in the page path have to be replace by dots "."

Do you also have a zip version available? You know I am a Mac user...

If not, I will install the exe on a windows machine and build the zip myself.

From 20160118 on the RISC client is "normal" part of the update, that is made available weekly. 20160118 already contains a lot of improvements.

We will not announce every change/improvement in January, so just expect, that more and more things are working.
