Hello,

after a few tests with the UI5 pages, I found it would be absolutely advantageous to get the ID-attribute into the HTML tags. The HTML tags have IDs like "__input0-inner", "__input1-inner" and so on. There is no interrelation to the ID entered in enterprise client.

Is there any chance to set the name-attribute for example?

Background: Use of javascripting (geolocation api...)

Hmmm,

so far the IDs are handled/generated by UI5 - now passing explicit IDs would be some quite significant change, which I only would like to do for some "major" release...

Hello Björn,

if simpler, let's use the name attribute.

No matter whether name is deprecated or not, one had no change to use JavaScript - like in real world tablet or HTML5 applications.

Regards,
Joachim
