Hi everyone,

is there any reason why there is no tooltip on labels?

I have a grid holding labels as the only column. If the text for this label is too long, I want to display a tooltip so that the user can identify the text of this label.

Can you add a general possibility to add tooltips to labels or (even nicer) to have tooltips with the text only if the text is too long. I think you can recognize if the text is too long because you add ... at the end.

no, there are no general limitations... in principal tooltips are supported on any normal controls (labels as well). It's just that all properties neeed to be registered in the tag library definition (eclnt.tld), which is not the case with LABEL...

We added it just now. Will be part of next version.
