Hi,

please have a look into the news-section of http://www.CaptainCasa.com - thre are some slides which could be interesting...

Of course we would like to receive your feedback.

The version that you can download is a beta! Error messages are not translated into proper text etc. etc. - but we publish at quite early stage because the idea behin "CC-SDM" is the one that we want to share with you!

HI Bjorn,

Well, i spend few minutes to try it, and it's quite fantastic work... is there any public roadmap info regarding CC-SDM?

Thanks!

Hi,

thanks for your feedback! And great that it is a nice one! ;-)

We currently (July, August) present, introduce, "propagate" CaptainCasa structured data manager - and collect information, that's coming back.

Then we will decide about the roadmap - Because we are community-driven are very happy about everyone contributing his/her opinion about direction/positioning/etc.

There are several options:
(.) positioning it as a free framework on top of CaptainCasa Enterprise Client
(.) making it a product on its own (as usual with CaptainCasa: binary for free)
(.) hosting own service for building/running small data-apps
(.) ...

And we are busily working on it... Tomorrow there will be the next version, with very nice features + multi language.

Hi,

Good to know that this project is on rails... not sure if this is the right post to say this, but one thing that is missing is authorization by action features... i see that it allows to set role permissions per property, which is very good, but i did not find any reference to setting permission on action basis... for example, users with role X has permission to create Persons (whatever Entity), or users role Y has permission to disable User A, etc... but for sure you are considering this already and it comes up on the next releases or just i did not try it on every details

...yes, definitely missing - and on the way!

What we are just about to do: adding functions (you can already maintain this...) and then having function hooks behind the functions within the processing. Functions could be logical ones ("Calculate!") or UI ones ("Show List of xyz"). There are the standard functions (read, remove, save, create,...) - all functions will be included in the authorization matrix.

Thanks + Regards! Björn
